Resurrection 03:44
Resurrection The hardest part, of going through that gauntlet was seeing the ones who still chose their chains instead of God's love At the first light, from death's darkest hour, arise! The King has returned! As all of creation's voice is heard! "See my hands and feet, fear not, it is I, myself. A spirit hath not the flesh and bones as you see I have." So many that need to be fed Through your hands by my hands So many that need to be fed By your hands "See my hands and feet, fear not, it is I, myself. A spirit hath not the flesh and bones as you see I have." So many that need to be fed Through your hands by my hands So many that need to be fed By your hands

Ascension 04:17
Ascension It is finally time, to go back to the Father now before I go please know the Spirit will follow please know, the Spirit will follow "I am with you to the end, because I called you friends. I'll be with you to the end, and draw you home again." Forty days were spent, walking with you to prove all that happened is not the end all was said in truth, Now I'll go, entrusting all to you "I am with you to the end, because I called you friends. I'll be with you to the end, and draw you home again." and the death that you once knew has been crushed under foot for you now I'll go and entrust all to you you'll not be all alone "I am with you to the end, because I called you friends. I'll be with you to the end, and draw you home again." It is finally time It is finally time

Pentecost 03:27
Pentecost The wind poured through the house all had felt the changing as the flames began to take their shape and come to rest in that place To the corners I will send you with authority the darkest depths of hell will be chained by the words you speak The words are all so clear seared into my mind's ear every hour of every waking day will burn all that could cause decay To the corners I will send you with authority the darkest depths of hell will be chained by the words you speak and all that I needed to know has been shared so abundantly a lifetime is never enough to share all that's welled so deep because You humbled Yourself to redeem all those who had drowned in sinful seas Your outstretched hand is all we need to brave the stones that would dash our feet
4.
Assumption 03:13
Assumption It always made so much sense you couldn't be left here to decay. your Son, He loved you too much for that ever to be the case it was much more of a sleep than the death the rest of us know overcome with such joy it was time for you to go back home She humbly leads us to her Son, so He can save the soul more than a vessel, she is mother for us to behold we'll never be the same again we'll never be the same She humbly leads us to her Son, so He can save the soul more than a vessel, she is mother for us to behold
5.
Coronation 03:20
Coronation Fashioned from the dust, she'll not return to the same such a creature, there's never been You chose her from every age And now, she's queen of all that is known her heel crushes the foe revealing signs that were foretold under a crown of 12 stars Though a queen, more a mother she draws us all very near It is Christ that she leads us to every day, every year And now, she's queen of all that is known her heel crushes the foe revealing signs that were foretold under a crown of 12 stars

about

The Glorious EP tries as it might to convey some sense of the dazzling, astonishing, and celestial nature of the five Glorious Mysteries. As is the case with all of the mysteries of the Holy Rosary, it is easy to become complacent in our thoughts and recollection of these amazing accounts, which over time can become so familiar that we have to shake ourselves out of our mental slumber to truly remember and appreciate the gravity and importance of each event.

"Why do you seek the living among the dead?"

The EP opens with the main event of human history and tries to recount the earliest moments, hours, and days after the Resurrection. The remaining tracks attempt to flow in a manner similar to the Scriptural Rosary, employing Gospel passages and imagery to explore each particular mystery from multiple viewpoints.

Always pray the Rosary first, but if you have time after, hopefully this EP provides a soundtrack of sorts to assist in additional reflection on the Resurrection, the Ascension, Pentecost, the Assumption, and the Coronation.

about

Peter Johnston RVA Richmond, Virginia

To put it simply, Peter Johnston RVA is Catholic indie rock; you
wouldn't hear this at mass, but it does try to prove that traditional Catholic thought and indie rock are not mutually exclusive. It began easily enough as a few home recordings but has slowly turned into a full on project that explores matters of human dignity and common good in society.
Sincerely yours,
Peter Johnston RVA
