The Annunciation

Do not be afraid
The angel's message said
In that hidden place
Found so full of grace
Where you stayed, where you'd wait

The angel:
"You have found such favor
with the one true God;
and you will conceive in your womb
and bear the one true Son of Man"

With stakes very high,
the world could only sigh
Despair was all we'd known
when the question had been posed

To put it simply, Peter Johnston RVA is Catholic indie rock; you
wouldn't hear this at mass, but it does try to prove that traditional Catholic thought and indie rock are not mutually exclusive. It began easily enough as a few home recordings but has slowly turned into a full on project that explores matters of human dignity and common good in society.
